FUBK Pro-Chancellor pays private visit to Emir of Argungu

FUBK Pro-Chancellor pays private visit to Emir of Argungu

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK), Colonel Abdulmumini Aminu (Rtd.), has paid a private visit to the Emir of Argungu, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, CON, at his palace in Argungu.

The visit followed the conclusion of the 33rd meeting of the Governing Council and provided an opportunity for the Pro-Chancellor to pay his respects to the traditional ruler.

Colonel Aminu, a former Military Governor of Borno State, was accompanied by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Zaiyan Umar; Bursar, Dr. Ibrahim Lawal; and Director of Procurement, Alhaji Rilwanu Usman Argungu.

During the visit, the Pro-Chancellor presented copies of FUBK publications, including the FUBK Chronicle Magazine, to the Emir.

In return, the Emir presented two publications to the Pro-Chancellor: A Kingdom in Crisis: Kabi in the Twentieth Century by Muhammad Bello Alkali, and Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival by Adeniyi Olagunju, with additional commentaries by the Emir.

The visit ended with a cordial interaction and group photograph at the palace.
