About Federal University Birnin Kebbi.
One of twelve new Federal Universities approved by the Federal Executive Council of Nigeria, established in 2013 and proprietored by the Federal Government of Nigeria to advance access, equity and quality in University education.

A technology driven centre of excellence in innovation, teaching and research.
Welcome to Federal University Birnin Kebbi. Our University was established in 2013 as one of twelve new Federal Universities created to improve access, equity and quality in higher education across Nigeria.
Our mission is “to add value to human existence through the provision of conducive academic environment for staff and students to actualise their dreams like their counterparts globally”. In pursuit of that mission we have built, year by year, the faculties, departments and research centres our founding plan envisages — from the takeoff of the Faculty of Science, the combined Faculty of Arts, Social and Management Sciences, and the School of Basic Studies, through the establishment of the Faculties of Medicine, Environmental Sciences, and now the separate Faculties of Arts, Social and Management Sciences, Education, Dentistry and Law.
We hold ourselves to eight core values: transparency and accountability; justice and equity; capacity building; cooperation; modesty; excellence and professionalism; superior service; commitment. Our motto, In Pursuit of Excellence, is the promise we make to every student, every member of staff, and every community we serve.
Whether you are a prospective student, a researcher, a member of our staff, or simply a visitor — you are most welcome here.
