FUBK begins first semester examinations for 2025/2026 session

Examinations run for three weeks across the Birnin Kebbi campuses, with the Vice-Chancellor urging students to remain disciplined and warning against malpractice.

FUBK begins first semester examinations for 2025/2026 session

The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) on Monday May 4, commenced the First Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

Based on the approved 2025/2026 Undergraduate Academic Calendar, the First Semester Examinations are scheduled to run for three weeks, from Monday, 4th May to Saturday, 23rd May, 2026.

Second-semester lectures are expected to commence on Monday, 8th June, 2026.

Speaking on the development, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, urged students to remain focused, disciplined, and law-abiding during the exercise. He warned against all forms of examination malpractice and advised students to adhere strictly to examination rules and regulations.

The Vice-Chancellor also commended staff for their dedication and collective efforts towards ensuring stability of academic activities in the University.

FUBK Bulletin reports that ahead of the examinations, the University Management put in place necessary measures to ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise.

Examination halls and venues were adequately arranged, while invigilators, supervisors, and security personnel were deployed to maintain order and uphold academic integrity throughout the period.

Security personnel have also been strategically stationed to guarantee the safety of students and staff throughout the examination period.

The University remains committed to sustaining high academic standards and providing a supportive atmosphere for teaching, learning, and research.
