FUBK faculties sensitize students on examination misconduct, emphasize integrity

The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has organised sensitisation programmes for students on examination misconduct, reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy on examination malpractice.

The programmes were held by the various faculties in the university as part of efforts by the university management to promote discipline and academic integrity.

At the Faculty of Science session held at SLH I, the Dean, Prof. Sirajo Abdulrahman, said the initiative was aimed at strengthening students' compliance with institutional regulations and promoting sound character alongside academic excellence.

Prof. M.B. Danlami, in a presentation, addressed issues relating to course registration, lecture attendance, and examination conduct, while Dr. U.F. Mohammed spoke on forms of examination misconduct and their attendant sanctions.

The session also featured interactive discussions, during which students sought clarifications on examination guidelines and expectations.

Similarly, the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences held its sensitisation programme at SLH II, where speakers reinforced the need for compliance, accountability, and adherence to academic regulations.

The University reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice, stressing its commitment to maintaining credible academic standards.

It said the initiative formed part of broader efforts to entrench discipline, integrity, and excellence among students.
