The Management of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has officially announced the commencement of the 2027 promotion exercise for deserving staff.
The announcement was contained in a circular dated June 25, 2026, and signed by the Deputy Registrar, Establishment Division, Malam Sani Umar Yeldu.
According to the circular, members of staff due for promotion in 2027 are required to complete seven copies of the Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER) form and submit them through the appropriate channels within the stipulated time frame.
The exercise is intended to facilitate the career progression of eligible academic and non-teaching staff in accordance with the University's Conditions of Service and other extant promotion guidelines.
The management advised eligible staff to ensure strict compliance with all promotion requirements, including the prescribed years of service, satisfactory performance evaluations, updated credentials and appraisal reports.
It reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a fair, transparent and merit-based promotion exercise, urging all qualified staff to take advantage of the opportunity.
The University noted that the exercise forms part of its continued efforts to promote staff development, reward excellence and strengthen institutional capacity.
