FUBK RECIEVES AWARDS AT NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES DEBATE COMPETITION

Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has recently made an impressive run in the just concluded Debate Competition organised by All Universities Debate Championship at Veritas University, Abuja.

The FUBK team was led by Abdulmumin Musa Omiya of the Department of Sociology and assited by Saratu Yusuf from the Department of Education Foundation.

The dedication was evident throughout the competition, as the team earned recognition and qualified for the quarterfinals and semifinals after passing through six rigorous rounds of fighting fiercely against formidable opponents like the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the University of Ilorin.

In addition to the team’s collective successes, individual accolades were also showered on members of the FUBK delegation. Abubakar Sa’idu, a student of Sociology, was recognised for his impeccable style and was awarded “Best Dressed Participant”. Moreover, Isaac Orbor from the Department of Sociology, Fatima Haruna Gbodoti from MBBS, and Livinus Chioma Princess from the Department of Biochemistry, all won prizes during the games of night, further highlighting the multifaceted talents of the University’s representatives.

FUBK Bulletin reports that the team’s exceptional performance did not go unnoticed, as FUBK was honoured with the prestigious award of “Best Outstanding Semifinalist”.
