FEDERAL UNIVERSITY BIRNIN KEBBI ANNOUNCES DATE FOR MAIDEN CONVOCATION CEREMONY

* Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma deliver 1st Convocation Lecture

* Prof. Attahiru Jega serves as Chair

The Federal University Birnin Kebbi has announced the date for the maiden (combined) 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Convocation Ceremonies holding from Wednesday 9th to Saturday 12th October, 2024.

The convocation ceremonies will be ushered in with the Vice Chancellor’s Press Briefing on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Council and Students Debate in the evening. This will be followed by novelty football match on Thursday 10th October, 2024 at the University’s Sport Complex by 4:00pm. 

On Friday 11th October, 2024 the 1st Convocation Lecture will be delivered by the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma at SLH2 Lecture Theatre by 10:00am. The Convocation Lecture will be chaired by the former Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Co-chairman of the Presidential Livestock Reform Committee, Prof. Attahiru Jega, CON. On the same day, there will be Chancellor’s Dinner at the Presidential Lodge, Birnin Kebbi by 8pm, strictly by invitation. 

Meanwhile, the main convocation event will hold on Saturday 12th October, 2024 featuring awards of Bachelor’s Degrees, Installation of the Chancellor, award of honorary degrees, induction of graduands into the Alumni Association of the University and presentation of prizes.
