General Requirement
Bsc. Applied Geophysics (UTME)

The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to form the core subjects with credit in any other one relevant science subject, at the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University Matriculation Exams (UTME) is required.

Sciences Direct Entry

(a) Candidates with at least two A’s at level passes (graded A-E) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) may apply through JAMB Direct Entry (DE) and undertake three – year degree programme from 200-level. The candidate may be required to bridge courses at 100-level.(b) Candidates with OND/HND in relevant fields with a minimum of Lower Credit from recognized and accredited institutions along with the required credit passes at SSCE or its equivalent may equally apply through JAMB DE to undertake a three-year programme at 200-level.

Bsc. Biology (UTME)

The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, to form the core course with credit in three other relevant science courses Biology, Chemistry, Technical drawing Agricultural Science and Geography at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent and atleast a pass in Physics. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University Matriculation Examination (UME) into 100-level is required. For the B.Sc. Programme in Biological Sciences, candidates must have credit level passes in Biology, Chemistry and at least a pass in Physics.

Direct Entry

Expected duration for Direct Entry (DE) candidates with two A level passes (graded A-E) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics and Physics) may undertake the three – year degree programme into 200-level.Students are required to complete a minimum of 120 units for Graduation, 60 of which must come from the relevant option areas in Biological sciences.

Bsc. Biochemistry (UTME)

To be admitted into the 4 year B.Sc. Biochemistry programme, the candidate must possess credit passes in 5 WASCE/GCE/NECO Subjects in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

Direct Entry

To be admitted into 3years B.Sc. Biochemistry Programme, the candidate must possess: 'A' Level passes in Biology, Chemistry and Physics ND/HND in relevant fields such as Diploma in Nutrition/Nutrition and Dietetics, Science Laboratory Technology and Food Science and Technology with a minimum of Lower Credit plus 5 credits in WASCE/NECO/GCE.

Bsc. Computer Science (UTME)

A student who wishes to be admitted into Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science must fulfill the following conditions: For entry into 100 level Computer Science, the requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Physics to form the core subjects with credit in any other two relevant science subjects from Biology, Chemistry, ICT, Computer Studies, Agric. Science and Electronics at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University Matriculation Examination (UTME) into 100 level is required.

Direct Entry

For Direct Entry into 200 level Computer Science, candidates with two A level passes (graded A-E) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) may undertake the three-year degree programme. In addition candidate must have the required number of credits at the O’ level.

Bsc. Geology (UTME)

To be admitted into the 4 year B.Sc Geology programme, the candidate must possess credit passes in 5 WASCE/NECO/GCE Subjects in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

Direct Entry

To be admitted into the 3 years B.Sc. Geology Programme, the candidate must possess: Three “A” Level passes in Geology, Biology, Chemistry and Physics ND/HND in relevant fields such as Diploma in Geology, Palaeontology and Geophysics.

Bsc. Industrial Chemistry (UTME)

The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry to form the core course with credit in Physics, and any other relevant science subjects at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University.

Direct Entry

Candidates with two A level passes (graded A-E) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics and Physics) may undertake the three – year degree programme into 200-level.

Bsc. Mathematics (UTME)

Candidate most have 5 credit 'O' level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Physics/Electronics to form the core subjects with credit in two other relevant science subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Technical drawing, Agricultural Science and Geography at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is required.

Direct Entry

Entry into 200 Level Mathematics (Three Years Programme) must satisfy the following conditions: (a) Two ‘A’ Level Passes (graded A-E) in Mathematics and one other science subject from (Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry). In addition, a candidate must have the required number of credits at the O’ level. (b) NCE, with at least a merit in Mathematics and any other science subject. (c) OND, with at least upper credit in Mathematics or Mathematical Sciences.

Bsc. Microbiology (UTME)

The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, to form the core subjects with credit in the three other relevant science courses Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the senior secondary school certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in university matriculation examination into 100-level is required. Expected course duration for a UTME candidate shall be 4 years.

Direct Entry

Candidates with two A level passes (Graded A-E) at the advanced level in one or more relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography and Physics) or National Diploma (ND) in relevant discipline with a minimum of lower credit may undertake the three year degree programme into 200-level.

Bsc. Physics with Electronics (UTME)

The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to form the core subjects with credit in one other relevant science subject at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University Matriculation Examination (UME) into 100-level is required.

Direct Entry

Candidates with two A level passes (graded A-D) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics and Physics) may undertake the three – year degree program into 200-level.

Bsc. Pure Chemistry (UTME)

The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry to form the core course with credit in Physics, and any other relevant science subjects at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University.

Direct Entry

Candidates with two A level passes (graded A-E) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics and Physics) may undertake the three – year degree programme into 200-level.

Bsc. Statistics (UTME)

Candidate most have 5 credit 'O' level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Physics/Electronics to form the core subjects with credit in two other relevant science subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Technical drawing, Agricultural Science and Geography at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is required.

Direct Entry

Entry into 200 Level Mathematics (Three Years Programme) must satisfy the following conditions: (a) Two ‘A’ Level Passes (graded A-E) in Mathematics and one other science subject from (Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry). General Requirement
Arts, Social & Management Sciences
Bsc. Demography and Social Statistics (UTME)

Candidates for admission into the four-year degree in Demography and Social/Statistics should passes a senior Secondary Shool Certificate or General Certificate of Education, NECO their equivalents with atleast five 5 credit passes, at not morethan Two sitting including Mathematics, English Language and Economics. In addition, Candidates must have the minimum acceptable passes in UME.

Direct Entry

Candidate for Direct Entry admission shall passes five Credits in GCE, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalents, of which at least two shall be at Advanced Level, provided thet such passes are not counted at both levels of the examination. For emphasis, English Language, Mathematics and Economics are required at credit passes.

Bsc. Economics (UTME)

Candidates for admission into the four – year degree in Economics should possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate(SSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE), NECO or their equivalents with at least five credit passes, at not more than two sittings including Mathematics, English Language and Economics. In addition, candidates must have acceptable passes in UME.

Direct Entry.

Candidates for Direct Entry admission shall possess five Credits in GCE, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalents, of which at least two shall be at Advanced Level, provided that such passes are not counted at both levels of the examination. Bsc. Political Science (UTME)

Candidates for admission into the four year degree programme should possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate(SSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE), NECO or their equivalents with at least five credit passes obtained in not more than two sittings of which three most be Government or History plus English Language and Mathematics. A acceptable score is also required.

Direct Entry

Candidates for Direct Entry into the degree programme in Political Science should possess five credit passes in the General Certificate of Education NECO, senior Secondary School certificate or their equivalents, three of which shall include Government or History, English Language and Mathematics, In addition, candidates must passes credit passes in three relevant subjects at the advanced level In the General Certificate of Education or its equivalent.

Bsc. Sociology (UTME)

Candidates who wish to study Sociology must have obtained a credit in Mathematics and English Language plus credit pass in either Economics, Geography or Government and other two subjects at the SSCE, NECO, GCE, or their equivalent not more than two sitting, An acceptable U.M.E. score is required.

Direct Entry

Candidates for Direct Entry admission shall possess five Credits passes in the SSCE, NECO, GCE or equivalents of which at least two shall be at advanced level, or four credits passes of which at least three shall be at advanced lavel provided that such passes are mot counted at both levels of the examinations, For emphasis credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any of Economics, Geography or Government is compulsory.

Bsc. Accounting (UTME)

Candidates for admission into the four – year degree in Geography should possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate, General Certificate of Education (GCE), NECO or their equivalents with at least five credit passes,at not more than two sittings including Mathematics, English Language and Geography. In addition, candidates must have acceptable passes in UME.

Direct Entry

In addition, candidates must have acceptable passes in UME.

Bsc. Nursing

To be admitted into the 4 year B.Sc. Biochemistry programme, the candidate must possess credit passes in 5 WASCE/GCE/NECO Subjects in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

Direct Entry

To be admitted into 3years B.Sc.
